Library Settings (on the PERF page)
The settings gear menu in the Library Manager header gives you control over how addons are displayed, filtered, and scanned. Click the **gear icon** in the top-right corner of the Libraries page to open it.

The menu is organized into four sections: View As, Group By, Display Options, and Scan Settings.
View As
Choose how addons are displayed in the Library Manager.
Card Layout
Default: On
Displays each addon as a visual card with a hero image, addon name, developer, version, date, and enabled/disabled status. Cards are arranged in a responsive grid that adjusts to your window size.
Card Layout is best for browsing and visual identification -- especially useful when you have addons with distinct artwork (aircraft, scenery).
Table Layout
Displays addons in a compact table with one row per addon. Columns include name, developer, category, version, date, enabled status, and folder name. The table is sortable by clicking column headers.
Table Layout is best when you want to see many addons at once, compare details across rows, or sort by a specific column.
Your view preference persists across sessions.
Group By
Choose how addons are organized into collapsible accordion sections.
Category
Default: On
Groups addons by their assigned category (for example, "Aircraft & Liveries", "Airports & Scenery"). Each group shows as a collapsible accordion section with the category name, addon count, and total size. Categories appear in the order you have configured on the Data page.
Developer
Groups addons by their developer or publisher name (for example, "PMDG SIMULATIONS", "INIBUILDS"). Useful when you want to see everything from a specific developer in one place, or when browsing by brand.
Your grouping preference persists across sessions.
Display Options
Toggle these options on or off to filter and customize what you see in the Library Manager. Active options highlight in cyan.
Show Enabled Only
Filters the view to show only addons that are currently enabled (active junctions in the Community folder). Disabled addons are hidden.
This is mutually exclusive with Show Disabled Only -- turning one on automatically turns the other off. You can turn both off to show all addons.
Show Disabled Only
Filters the view to show only addons that are currently disabled (no junction in the Community folder). Enabled addons are hidden.
Useful when you want to review what is not active, or when deciding which addons to enable for a flight. Mutually exclusive with Show Enabled Only.
Show Library
When enabled, each addon card displays a small colored badge with the library name before the folder name. This helps you identify which library an addon belongs to at a glance -- especially useful when you have multiple libraries with similar addons.
In Table Layout, the library name appears as a prefix in the folder column.
Default: Off
Show Missing
When enabled, addons that were previously scanned but whose folders no longer exist on disk are shown in the Library Manager with a "Missing" indicator. These are addons you may have uninstalled or moved outside of PERFLIGHT.
When disabled, missing addons are hidden from view. They remain in the database and will reappear if the folder is restored.
Default: Off
Show Scrollbar
Controls whether a thin scrollbar appears when you hover over the addon browsing area. The scrollbar is a subtle overlay that fades in when your cursor enters the content region and fades out when it leaves.
When enabled, a Back to top button also appears in the bottom-center of the content area after you scroll down, giving you a one-click return to the top.
When disabled, the Library Manager uses the original clean look with no visible scrollbar or scroll-to-top button. You can still scroll with the mouse wheel or trackpad.
Default: Off
Scan Settings
Scan Depth
Controls how many folder levels deep PERFLIGHT scans when looking for addons inside your libraries. The slider ranges from 1 (scan only the top level) to 20 (scan very deeply nested structures).
Lower values (toward "Faster"): Quicker scans, suitable for libraries with a flat folder structure where addons sit directly inside the library folder.
Higher values (toward "Slower"): Deeper scans, necessary if your addons are nested inside multiple subfolders (common with tools like MSFS Addon Linker or Orbx libraries).
The current value displays next to the label. The default is 10, which works well for most libraries.
Your scan depth preference persists across sessions and applies to all libraries equally.
Rescan Libraries
Click Rescan Libraries to re-scan all your libraries at the current scan depth. This picks up any addons you have added, removed, or moved on disk since the last scan.
The button changes appearance when PERFLIGHT detects file changes in your library folders -- it turns red and reads Rescan (Changes Detected) to let you know a rescan would find new or changed content. File change detection happens automatically in the background via a file watcher.
The button is disabled while a scan is already in progress or if you have no libraries configured.
Tips
Use Show Enabled Only before a flight to see exactly what will be loaded by MSFS.
Use Show Disabled Only when housekeeping to review addons you have not used recently.
Turn on Show Library when you have multiple libraries to quickly tell where each addon lives.
Increase Scan Depth if addons are not appearing after a scan -- they may be nested deeper than the current setting reaches.
Watch for the red Rescan button. When it turns red, PERFLIGHT has noticed changes in your library folders and a rescan will pick them up.
